An Aerosmith drummer-branded coffee company announced Aug. 30 it has inked a partnership with Sugar Land's new performance venue.

Cypress-based Rockin' & Roastin' Coffee Inc., founded by Joey Kramer, will be the exclusive coffee provider at the Smart Financial Centre, which will open in January. Kramer said the company wants to add a brick-and-mortar Houston cafe at an undetermined location.

"It's going to be a great venue for people to drink coffee," said Kramer about the Sugar Land venue. "It's just logical."

The coffee will be located in concession stands and inside suites. A custom-designed coffee cart might also roll out in the venue.

Rockin' & Roastin' offers full-bean and ground coffee as well as single-serve coffee. The partnership with the Smart Financial Centre is the company's second with a music venue — it's also the official coffee brand of House of Blues nationwide. The coffee is sold in 2,000 stores in the Northeast, as well as in 100 H-E-B grocery stores in Texas, including around the Houston area.

Rockin' & Roastin' CEO Ron Mann said the company generated $1.8 million in sales in 2015. The company raised $500,000 in its first round of funding in early 2016. The first Rockin' & Roastin' Cafe opened early July in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, which is south of Boston.

"We have a lot of people interested in the (Houston) concept," said Mann, who added the company hasn't decided where it might put a permanent coffee location in Houston.
